Although unchanged, the 2021 Chevrolet Silverado 4500 will come with a slightly higher price than before. The base model is $500 more than before, starting around $49,000. If you want to upgrade the Regular cab with Crew cab for about $3,500. You will have to add $3,000 more for the all-wheel drive. The Silverado 4500 AWD will start at $56,000. Series 5 models go up by $2,700 and Series 6 truck adds $6,000.
Specs and Towing Capacity
The 2021 Chevrolet Silverado 4500 will use the same drivetrain as its smaller sibling, heavy-duty truck. Nevertheless, engineers are not squeezing the maximum from the Duramax turbodiesel unit. A 6.6-liter V8 is producing 350 horsepower and 700 lb-ft of torque. For the Silverado 3500 HD, the same engine is delivering 910 lb-ft and 445 hp. The towing capacity is between 14,000-16,000 pounds. If you need more, Silverado 5500 can go up to 19,500 lbs, and Series 6 truck hauls up to 23,500 pounds. Of course, Allison transmission is sending power to two-wheel drive, while the 4×4 is optional.
