2019 Honda Ridgeline Type R Specs, Price

After great success and releasing Ridgeline model back in 2016. Honda is preparing the new 2019 Ridgeline Type R truck. It is obvious that the previous Ridgeline lacked some features and more productive engine. Therefore, even though it is not official yet, a few rumors brings us news about the upcoming 2019 Honda Ridgeline Type R. The all-new Honda Ridgeline Type R 2019 should offer even more off-road capabilities.

This probably means a lot of changes and advantages as well. The forthcoming Ridgeline Type R cannot carry as much as some previous models, but it offers better driving and more speed than competitors. With this Type R version, Honda is focusing more on on-road performances than on off-road. The core of the truck will remain the same but Honda is looking into the possibility of releasing a special edition.

2019 Honda Ridgeline Type R – Appearance of Exterior and Interior

The front grille and bumper are designed almost the same as the one on Honda Civic Type R. The lower grille is made in three sections while the upper grille is all black with the famous Honda badge in the middle. The hood will receive some small changes, like a scoop that has been added. That scoop is cooling the backside of the V6 engine.

The fenders from Civic Type R are added as well. The very famous “Type R’ sign is colored in red, and it can be found on the aero pieces, the wheels and all of the badges. The forthcoming Ridgeline Type R is coming with 19 or 20-inch alloys. Furthermore, those alloys are lighter than on previous models.

In order to provide some more functional benefits, Honda has made a lot of changes inside the cabin. You can expect a lot of red accents on basically everything. From the door panels to the steering wheel and the seats. Also, rumors are saying that the manufacturer is installing a flat-bottom wheel.

The tachometer is now larger and some gauges like oil temperature or the pressure are changed. One of the biggest changes is probably the gearshift. The 2019 Honda Ridgeline Type R will use only manual six-speed transmission. The center console is having much more space so the manual shift won’t be a problem.

The seats in new 2019 Ridgeline Type R are made of mesh, suede, and leather. Comparing to the Civic Type R model, Honda will probably offer black back seats with a red contrast stitching. The most important thing about the seats is that they will stay very comfortable like always.

2019 Honda Ridgeline Type R – Engine Specifications

Standard 2019 Honda Ridgeline Type R is using a 3.5-liter V6. This all-aluminum engine can produce up to 275 hp and 270 pound-feet of torque. But the newly 2019 Ridgeline Type R needs something better than that. Honda is planning to add a turbocharged engine. This engine is possibly a 3.5-liter V6. With great power-to-weight ratio, this engine is producing 430 hp. This ratio is for example, much greater than the one at the Ford F-150 Raptor.

  1. 16, 2018 /PRNewswire-iReach/ — The 2018 Honda Ridgeline is the second model year of the automaker’s midsize pickup truck that has been available in the Matt Castrucci Honda showroom. Tight competition within the pickup truck segment of the automotive industry is nothing new, but within the class occupied by the Ridgeline, there are fewer options, so a customer’s choice carries greater consequences. To help make sure buyers make the best decision the first time around, the product experts at Matt Castrucci Honda have done a head-to-head comparison of the 2018 Honda Ridgeline against the 2018 Nissan Frontier. Even though the current version of the Ridgeline has been carried over from its inaugural model, it still has more than enough to offer to put it ahead of the aging Frontier.
